I own a 1994, chevy camaro, V6, automatic tranny. The wiper blades, when shut off, would stop in the upright position. So I tried fiddling with the wiper motor and now when wiping, they'll pause in the upright position when they should be pausing in the down position, but when shut off, will now stop three quarters of the way down the windshield, still not all the way down like they're supposed to. Do I need a new wiper motor? Or is there something wrong with the switch or what? Thanks for the help. Dan

That's a wiper motor problem - try the board first, but you might have a bad motor.

What do you mean by trying the board first? and how would a check the board? what would I be looking for when I'm checking it?

The board isn't something you can check, but it is something you can buy. The board part number (Cardone) at Advance Auto Parts for that car is 811012BP and it costs about $45 or so.
It's easy to replace - it contains the park contacts and circuitry that drives the intermittent wipers.
Those boards fail a LOT.
Try that first - it'll probably take care of your problem UNLESS the wiper motor slides that contact the brushes on the board are damaged. In that case, you'd need a whole motor.
