93 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0, 220K Mi, code 11 and 12.

CPS Check good, cracked -replaced

CamPS check good 8V+ in, Flux 0-5V when cranked.

Fuel pressure 30~ at rail.

Coil 8 Months old- I think spark weak. Will spark to engine head or  bracket bolt. WILL NOT spark to plug or Dist cap tower.

Disconnected Neg Batt cable.

Code 11 does not reappear. No start

Coil Ohm check good at home.

Coil Ohm check good at Auto Zone

Then I shotgunned - R eplaced cap + rotor-Plug wire set.
reinstalled coil, checked input..12V
installed new coil wire...No start, sparks to engine not to plug
or  cap tower...

Question Is it possible for the coil to ohm out good

and still be bad? I am leaning toward new coil.....

Here's a tip:

Weak spark?  Good voltage going in?

Replace the coil.  Ohm checking doesn't prove the secondary side of the
coil is working right.

You've done well with your diagnostics.

Richard,

Problem fixed!  New coil.. Sooo much better.  Experience really rounds
out the book info.  There is no substitute for it.  Thanks for sharing
yours!  Richard you are OUTSTANDING!
