I pulled the transmission from my 1996 dodge dakota and had it rebuilt
at a local shop. After re-installing the tranny, the engine will not start.
There is no spark. The truck ran fine prior to the tranny work. Is there
something in the tranny hookup that could cause the engine to not spark?
All electrical connectors are intact and correctly attached to the
tranny.
Other than disconnecting the battery, nothing was done to the electrical
system.

Check the crank sensor wires - you probably pinched them putting the
transmission back in, or left them unplugged...?

Richard,
I did pull the crank sensor last night. Apparently, when I inserted the
sensor, it picked up a star washer without me noticing it. It was laying
across the sensor and essentially rendering it useless. I pulled the sensor,
removed the washer and she started right up....
Thanks!!
